About Us
We are a unique engagement consultancy and training organisation that provide you and your organisation with a bespoke “Me and You” conversation. Each member of our team is an experienced and passionate advocate of the fact that honest dialogue is the most effective tool when it comes to challenging negative mindsets. We are uniquely qualified to achieve our mission: dispelling negativity through meaningful discussion.
Allow our team to create the space for open, honest conversations in your school, office or organisation. Whether that is tackling issues of race or misogyny in classrooms, increasing awareness of cultural sensitivities in the office, or engaging with a “hard to reach” community, Me and You Education can help.
Our Story
Me & You Education was formed in 2015 by myself, Imam Irfan Chishti and my good friend Dave Allport. Dave and I share the universally acknowledged British values of respect, and most importantly, acceptance of each other’s differences.
Each running our own specialist consultancy, we felt the timing was perfect for a joining of forces to tackle extremism and terrorism in the unique way that only we could. Achieving the “cohesion of difference” has always been the cornerstone of our message.

Whilst Dave has now sadly retired from the project, our focus remains on improving community relations by providing comprehensive packages that cover Education, Training and Community Engagement.
Meaningful dialogue transforms the hearts and minds of those most vulnerable to hate and time and time again our compelling process has made the difference that’s needed.

Our Team Imam Muhammad Irfan Chishti
LLB (Hons.) MA, PGCE, MBE
Hi there, I’m Irfan, comfortably British and confidently Muslim. My passion lies in creating a safe space for frank discussions which challenge and shift mindsets.
As an Imam and former Assistant Principal of a large state school in the Manchester area, I’ve delivered many workshops and am constantly working towards developing dialogue that translates into action. My aim has always been finding (and delivering,) effective counter-solutions to address and challenge divisive rhetoric.
In 2010, I was part of a delegation supporting the plight of minority Christians in Pakistan. My work in teaching and efforts to create a cohesive education system in madrassas was recognised in the Houses of Parliament. In response to the growth in popularity of the “un”-Islamic State in 2013, I set up my own consultancy supporting institutions and individuals to counter extreme ideologies.
My proudest moment was receiving an MBE in the 2009 New Years honours list for services to the Muslim community! With a bucket load of experience in community relations and tackling extremist ideologies, I plan to build on these successes and continue to have the conversations that matter.

From a narrative of Hate to a narrative of Change I’m Ivan, anti-hate campaigner and activist for tackling radicalization and extremism in the UK. I joined and worked my way up the English Defence League (EDL), and was recruited by Tommy Robinson as a leading member.
I was a single dad, depressed and self-medicating on cannabis – social media became my life and the EDL my community. I set up demonstrations, recruited, fundraised and gained a ton of insight into the narrative of the Far Right.
Meeting former Jihadist, Manwar Ali, meant my views on Islam began to change. I realised Islam wasn’t represented by the likes of hate preachers like Anjem Choudhary. They were nothing like Manwar and I realised my hate had been misguided. When my sister passed away in 2012 and six months later my dad, it wasn’t the EDL family who were there for me, it was Manwar. My friendship with him is ongoing to this day.
I use my knowledge and understanding of the Far Right, to combat radicalisation and all forms of extremism and currently campaign under the banner OYEtoHate (Open Your Eyes to Hate). I met Imam Irfan In 2017 whilst filming a documentary about my journey in Manchester Central Mosque. Now I work as an Associate Trainer for Me and You Education.

Salaam and hi! I’m Imran, people describe me as dynamic, engaging and a passionate facilitator. I had the pleasure of joining the Me & You Education team in 2016 and have been leading the engagement programme for schools.
I have a background in community radio as well as presenting on national community Sky based TV channels, so when it comes to engaging audiences I know I’m the person for the job.
I have worked as a Youth Worker and Mentor for the Bolton Lads and Girls Club and have experience of some of the most diverse and challenging circumstances. Working as a Muslim Chaplain for HM Prison and Probation Service through this I gained huge insights into the radicalisation process and have worked one to one with convicted terrorists.
Also trained as a theological and ideological intervention provider I am a Master practitioner in Neuro Linguistic programming. As well as all the above one of my biggest achievements is being a proud father to my young daughter.

Rabbi Warren Elf
BSc (Econ), MA, PGCE MBE
Salaam / Shalom! I am Warren Elf, Co-Chair of the Trustees of Faith Network for Manchester and the Greater Manchester Faith and Belief Advisory Panel. I am also Convenor of the Greater Manchester Interfaith Network, a former Maths teacher and Youth and Community worker. Like the rest of the team, I am highly passionate about interfaith work and creating opportunities to talk and develop community and social cohesion.
After the Manchester Arena bomb in 2017, I helped organise support, vigils and other gatherings for the communities affected as well as arranging Manchester's participation in a joint commemoration event for the Westminster attack two months earlier, which brought more than 200 people together. I am a member of Manchester’s Challenging Hate Forum and Co-Chair of FODIP, a national charity which promotes positive dialogue between Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities on the subject of the Middle East and facilitates workshops for young people.
I was part of a faith and civic leaders group that went to Rome in April 2023 for an audience with the Pope focusing on care of the environment and our planet and tackling poverty. I worked alongside Imam Irfan to co-produce the latest MYE project – “The Rabbi and the Imam”; tackling the hate of Antisemitism and Islamophobia.
